What is Osteoporosis?

Osteoporosis is a bone disease that occurs when the body loses bone mass or does not produce enough bone. This leads to reduced bone strength, low bone mass, reduced bone quality and an increase in the risk of fractures to the spine, hip, wrist, and other bones.

Over 40 million Americans suffer from Osteoporosis, with 80% of them being women.

In the event of a spinal fracture or compression, Dr. Al-Ali can perform a vertebroplasty or kyphoplasty procedure to reduce pain. Both procedures are minimally invasive allowing for quicker recovery.
