What is Kyphoplasty?

Kyphoplasty is a minimally invasive spinal procedure in which medical-grade vertebral balloons are injected percutaneously through a small hole in the skin, into a fractured vertebra in preparation for cement injection. The goals of kyphoplasty are to reduce pain from the fracture, stabilize the vertebra, and restore the vertebra back to its normal height.
